Developer Hub for a Complex API Platform
Centralising API documentation, onboarding, and self-service support for external developers and internal teams.
API documentation was fragmented across multiple sources and difficult to maintain as the platform evolved. External developers struggled to onboard efficiently, while internal teams lacked a single, authoritative reference for architecture, components, and API behaviour. As the product matured, the existing documentation approach no longer scaled with technical complexity or business needs.
I designed and delivered the Cassie Developer Hub as a centralised, self-service documentation platform supporting both external developers and internal stakeholders.
Working closely with product, engineering, and marketing, I helped define the information architecture, content strategy, and user experience to ensure the hub aligned with technical requirements and product positioning. I was responsible for documentation design, content creation, standards, and long-term sustainability.
To create a scalable and developer-focused documentation system, I:
This approach balanced usability, technical accuracy, and maintainability across both public-facing and internal documentation.
The Developer Hub became a single source of truth for API documentation and developer onboarding. External developers could onboard more quickly and confidently, while internal teams benefited from clearer technical reference material and improved collaboration.
The documentation framework was designed to scale with ongoing product development, reducing long-term maintenance overhead and enabling internal teams to iterate and extend content independently.
